Artist statement

For me, the space of painting is, in principle, horizontal. In Argentina, it is said that the horizon lies beneath the feet, and in that country I noticed that, sometimes, when you look at the faraway horizon, you have the impression you’re looking downwards. Horizontality is the dimension that goes with landscape and, in my landscapes, space is almost always horizontal. I think that the specific space of Argentine geography has infused itself in my view of landscape and in my idea of space as an infinite horizon.

Though I look for explanations on the process of painting, I think painting is a personal thought or way of thinking, impossible to be put into words. When I paint I think of painting.
